Crafting and creating texts
Develop original writing with a clear purpose and audience. Unit 1 introduces crafting through school-selected ideas and mentor texts. Unit 3 develops this through the school's chosen writing framework. Support includes planning, revising and explaining the choices behind the writing.

Argument analysis and oral presentations
Explain how an argument persuades its audience. Unit 2 introduces analysis of persuasive texts and a point of view presentation. Unit 4 sharpens that analysis across written, visual and spoken forms. Support can also help your child develop and rehearse their own persuasive presentation.
