Build confidence with functions, graphs, transformations and algebra. Units 1/2 begin with polynomial and power functions before extending to circular, exponential and logarithmic functions. Units 3/4 develop combinations of these functions, inverses, composition and equation solving in more demanding modelling contexts.

Calculus
Develop the calculus required for the student's current unit. Units 1/2 introduce rates of change and differentiation, then polynomial differentiation and anti-differentiation. Units 3/4 extend this to transformed and combined functions, with anti-differentiation, integration and area applications typically selected for Unit 4.

Probability and statistics
Work with the probability and statistics content for the relevant unit. Units 1/2 cover finite sample spaces, counting, compound events and conditional probability. Units 3/4 move to discrete and continuous random variables, probability distributions and inference for sample proportions, with this area typically concentrated in Unit 4.
