1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of T.M.J. Tutoring's services. By engaging our services — whether online or in person — you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding. T.M.J. Tutoring is operated in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

2. Services

T.M.J. Tutoring provides personalised tutoring matching services, connecting students with qualified tutors across a range of subjects and year levels. We facilitate the matching process, manage ongoing communication between families and tutors, and maintain oversight of tutor quality and conduct.

T.M.J. Tutoring reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of its services at any time with reasonable notice. We will always prioritise continuity of support for enrolled families.

3. Payment Terms

Tutoring sessions are billed in advance on a session or package basis as agreed at enrolment. Payment is due by the date specified in your invoice. We accept bank transfer and major credit/debit cards.

Late or missed payments may result in the suspension of tutoring sessions. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please contact us promptly — we will work with you wherever possible.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged in full at our discretion.

Repeated late cancellations may affect your ability to maintain a consistent tutoring schedule. If you need to pause or discontinue services, please notify us in writing with at least 7 days' notice.

5. Tutor Conduct & Quality

All T.M.J. Tutoring tutors are vetted, trained, and subject to ongoing quality review. We hold our tutors to high standards of punctuality, preparation, communication, and care. If you have any concerns about your tutor's conduct or performance, please contact our team immediately.

T.M.J. Tutoring reserves the right to reassign or remove a tutor from any engagement at our discretion.

6. Privacy

We collect and use personal information — including student names, year level, subject needs, and contact details — solely for the purpose of delivering our tutoring services. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required to facilitate your tutoring sessions (e.g. sharing student details with your matched tutor).

We handle all personal data in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Limitation of Liability

T.M.J. Tutoring provides a matching and support service. While we take every reasonable step to ensure quality outcomes, we cannot guarantee specific academic results. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for services in the relevant period.

We are not liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from a tutor's actions outside of sessions arranged through T.M.J. Tutoring.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
