T.M.J. Tutoring Pty Ltd (ACN 672 218 978) (we, us) runs a tutoring service and a pet sitting service in Melbourne, Victoria. This policy covers both, and explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it.

We collect personal information so we can match you with the right tutor or sitter and deliver our services. This includes your contact details, and anything you tell us to help us match and support you. We do not sell personal information.

For tutoring, it includes student details such as name, school, year level and subjects, and the session location. It also includes enquiry answers saved as you go, so our team can follow up if you do not finish.

For pet sitting, it includes your address, the dates you are away, and your pet's details and care information. You give keys and access codes for your home to your sitter directly, not through our website or forms.

You may choose to tell us about your child's learning needs or health, such as a learning difficulty, ADHD or anxiety. We only collect this with your consent, and only use it to match your child with a suitable tutor and to support them in sessions. We share it only with your child's tutor, and only as much as they need. You do not have to give us this information, but it helps us support your child well.

We treat your home access details and the dates you are away with the same care, because they could put your home at risk if misused.

We share information with your matched tutor or sitter, only as much as they need, and with service providers where needed to deliver our services and run our business, such as our invoicing, scheduling, communication and website tools. Our tutors and sitters may only use your information to deliver our services, must keep it secure, and must delete or return it within 14 days after they stop working with you.

Some of our service providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We only use providers we expect to protect personal information to a standard similar to Australian privacy law.

If you choose to join the TMJ mailing list, we collect your email address, signup date, the page you signed up on and a record of your consent. We store these details in Airtable to manage your subscription for practical study tips, encouragement and occasional TMJ updates. Joining the mailing list is optional and separate from making an enquiry.

You can withdraw your email consent at any time by contacting enquiries@tmjtutoring.com.au. Marketing emails will also include a way to unsubscribe. We retain the subscription preference needed to avoid sending further marketing after you opt out.

Your browser stores whether the signup invitation has appeared or you have submitted it, so we can avoid repeating it. We do not store your email address in browser storage for this feature.

Our native forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check for spam. Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum explains how it handles data for these checks.

We may use website analytics to understand how visitors use our site, so we can improve it. This information is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify you.

When you pay by bank transfer, we receive the payment details shown on the transfer, such as the account name. We keep these with your invoices for our records.

We keep your information for 2 years after our last service to you, then delete it. We keep invoices and payment records for 5 years, as tax law requires. You can ask us to delete your information earlier, unless we are required by law to keep it.

We handle all personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time by contacting us at enquiries@tmjtutoring.com.au.
